Abstract
This paper presents a general approach to the study of quasi linear two-phase flow in porous media. It is especially applicable to reservoirs which can be approximated by one-dimensional models. The technique presented here uses the familiar "Buckley-Leverett calculation procedures. It provides a systematic means of making one dimensional calculations for situations beyond the scope of the Buckley-Leverett method and which are pertinent to practical reservoir engineering, e.g., performance of heterogeneous reservoirs with many production and injection wells, recovery of attic or cellar oil, etc.
