Abstract

Even though the word Economics was left out of an already lengthy title, its importance was recognized in the study. The report, the outcome of a one-year study, is made of three parts dealing respectively with the hydrologic, legal and economic aspects of conjunctive surface-groundwater management. Hydrologist, lawyers and economists have become increasingly and even painfully aware of the complex degree of interaction of their respective disciplines and as a result they have attempted to establish a connection. This report emphasizes. the fact that the solution of the problem requires not just a mere juxtaposition of parts (a procedure acceptable as a start) but a complete integration from concepts down to coding details.
