dc.description.abstract | The artist's statement: My work is an exploration of digital storytelling. In the realm of graphic design, my materials are the software and tools that allow for boundless creativity. Programs like Photoshop, Illustrator and Procreate are my brushes and canvas. I find a lot of inspiration from the world around me and as my work evolves, I am more drawn to lots of vibrant colors and shapes. I want each person to be able to connect with my art in one way or another, leaving it up to the viewer to come up with their own connections and emotions to each piece. Graphic design can not only convey information but evoke emotions and influence perceptions. It's a blend of artistry and problem solving as well as aesthetics and function. I aim to use my work to tell a story that is visually captivation yet serves a purpose, using visual communication as an art form. | |
