Abstract
The artist's statement: I have always considered art to be somewhat important to me even when I was young. However, my problem was I didn’t know where to focus my talent in art. I was a good drawer, but hated portraits, I was also a good painter, but hated being told what to paint. It wasn't until my 8th grade year that I learned about Graphic Design. Graphic Design gave me the opportunity to express myself creativity while also not being repetitive in what I was doing. There was always something new around the corner for me to explore. I started designing in 2015 when I signed up for my high school’s graphic design classes. Little did I know that it would take me on the adventure that I’m on now, 7 years later. I went from a small ROP program to an amazing art school and ended up in an even more amazing university. Graphic Design is such a part of me that I don’t know where I’d be without it.
