Photograph and text from an exhibit installed in 2019 at Colorado State University Libraries depicting buildings on the university's campus in Fort Collins. The solar village buildings were designed by George Oscar Lof, founder of the Solar Energy Applications Laboratory. The buildings included features such as cooling and heating by the sun; an air heating system and evaporative rock bed regenerative cooler; solar heating and cooling using a liquid system; and testing for solar collection panels.
