Abstract
The subject of wall-bounded flows has been a matter of discussion and has received considerable attention in the past few decades. This is mainly attributed to the fact that the presence of the solid wall has profound effects on the turbulence and hence results in anomalous mixing and transport of momentum, scalar and heat in environmental flows. This is much more intense in the vicinity of the solid wall commonly known as the near-wall region compared to regions away from the wall.
