    Abstract
    The induction of plant defenses is a great preventative tool for greenhouse and nursery managers to protect their plants. By priming plants with abiotic or biotic measures, managers can induce systemic acquired resistance (SAR) in plants to upregulate the ability to resist a pathogen. The accumulation of salicylic acid (SA) has been well researched and supported to be necessary for inducing SAR against pathogens.
