The Digitization of Local Collections Task Force was formed as a response to the growing need for established standards and procedural organization to accompany the digitization projects that CSU Libraries staff has become routinely involved in. With the increase in acquisitions of water and agricultural-related archival collections and the pending transfer of over 300,000 University photographs (digital and print format) from the former Office of Information Services (OIS), there is also a current urgency in establishing standardized workflow, communication, and procedural organization to CSU Libraries' digitization endeavors.
