Keeping the Pool Clean: Prevention and Management of Misconduct Related Retractions

"Keeping the Pool Clean: Prevention and Management of Misconduct-Related Retractions" was held on July 20-22 at the Hilton Fort Collins in Fort Collins, Colorado. "Research is iterative and necessitates a clean 'pool' of knowledge." The national conference covered how to handle fraudulent submissions, whistleblowing, retraction notices, ethics, roles and responsibilities, and institutional incentives that cloud the research waters. Presentations were comprised of 16 international speakers including researchers, journal editors, universities, research integrity officers, and those from the ORI, NSF, Science, and Retraction Watch. The event was sponsored by CSU and the Department of Health and Human Service (DHHS), Office of Research Integrity (ORI). This digital collection includes presentations given at the conference.
