Abstract
This thesis explores the development of a comprehensive business plan for Natural Options Wellness Clinic, a proposed naturopathic medicine practice designed to address gaps in conventional healthcare by offering holistic, individualized treatment options. The study incorporates extensive market analysis, client and non-client surveys, and insights from shadowing naturopathic practitioners to identify the challenges and opportunities in the complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) industry. Key findings highlight the demand for accessible, evidence-based natural therapies and the barriers such as cost, lack of insurance coverage, and public skepticism. The clinic's services will include minor surgery, massage therapy, botanical medicine, nutritional counseling, and hydrotherapy, complemented by a product line featuring natural remedies like supplements, teas, and tinctures. To build trust and awareness, the clinic will emphasize patient education through workshops, events, and digital outreach. Strategic growth initiatives include future service expansions into acupuncture and IV therapy, as well as online product sales to broaden accessibility. By integrating business development frameworks with public health principles, this thesis demonstrates how Natural Options Wellness Clinic can effectively promote community wellness and advance the field of naturopathic medicine. The insights gained through this research provide a foundation for establishing a successful practice and advocate for a more inclusive, holistic approach to healthcare.
