Making The Mountain

Abstract

Making the Mountain is a collection of poems interested in how we, as humans in the Anthropocene,learn to “be” in the world. Using origami as a guide, the speaker of these poems builds her own personal ecology to make sense of how she fits into the world around her. The poems utilize a variety of forms to explore the complex possibilities of language and the curious ways in which it moves toward meaning.
