dc.description | Photograph and text from an exhibit installed in 2019 at Colorado State University Libraries depicting buildings on the university's campus in Fort Collins. Moby arena was proposed in 1962 and marked the start of a campaign to gain entrance to the Western Athletic Conference. In 1966, a Rocky Mountain Collegian sports editor called it the Moby gym, referring to its whale-like shape, and the nickname stuck. | |
