Abstract
The artist's statement: I'm a digital art student at Colorado State University, and I love creating pieces that mix memory, emotion, and digital spaces. My art usually starts with my own photos or quick sketches, then I layer, edit, or animate in the Adobe Suite or Blender until they feel right. I'm really into experimenting and letting happy accidents shape the final image. Being adaptable is a skill I hold in high regard when it comes to dealing with the digital space and by embracing the unpredictable parts of creating, I can make work that I can look back at and enjoy. I have always liked playing with technology and seeing how it has changed the way we experience the world around us, especially as of recent. When I work I find myself blending the real and the digital to create surreal scenes populated by objects that feel a little familiar but also kind of strange, often with obscure or humorous elements that work their way into the final version. I hope when people look at my work, they slow down for a second and feel engaged and entertained. It's my way of sharing fragments of ideas and emotion through the screen.
