Guppy Workman: capstone

Abstract

The artist's statement: I am a multimedia artist who focuses on embracing childlike wonder and holding on to the free spirit that resides within us all. Therefore, my work is largely based on humor and positivity. My goal is to make someone laugh or put a smile on their face. My process involves getting right into the deep end and going straight for it. I work as I go along and refine things along the way. For video I try and film all I can at once and put it into premiere to start organizing and then film more later as needed. For other projects I figure out what needs to be done and do some research, and then I just start working on the project one step at a time, making lots of revision and iterations and eventually refining it up to the point of completion. I aspire to be just like those who embrace the imperfections and can act as their wholehearted authentic selves. These people inspire me to continue my artistic journey and improve my technical abilities and creativity.
