A systematic mapping review of cattle welfare research during road transportation (2015–2025)

Abstract

The objective of this review was to conduct a systematic mapping review to characterize research trends, aggregate existing evidence, and highlight knowledge gaps in research exploring the impacts of transport-related factors on cattle welfare outcomes. The literature search was conducted on November 10, 2025.
