dc.description.abstract | Excess adiposity has been demonstrated to induce a chronic low grade inflammatory state, increasing disease susceptibility. Our previous studies demonstrated that mice fed a high fat diet exhibited greater collagen accumulation in the visceral lymph nodes than a CHOW fed group. In our present experiment, TEM is used to closely explore and elucidate the mechanisms by which fibrosis influences lymph node microarchitecture and cellular communication. Taken together this data can help support the development of preventative measures to reduce susceptibility to immune dysregulation associated with obesity. | en_US |
