dc.description.abstract | The artist's statement: While studying at Colorado State University, I have grown to develop a process and style that is my own. I discovered my style by combining different sources of media and allowing myself to experiment while taking inspiration from other mediums of art. The delicate relationships we build amongst humans and nature are great sources of influence in my work. Having a background in agriculture, I have learned to embrace my identity as a designer and artist while still holding true to some of the values my childhood taught me. I believe that each of us have specific life experiences that shape who we are, what we believe and even what we say and I also believe design has the power to influence those decisions. As a designer, I realize I share the unique responsibility of visual communication and with that in mind, I strive to create with purpose and impact. | en_US |
