Colorado State University Art Department capstone project.
Capstone contains the artist's statement, a list of works, and images of works.
The artist's statement: Almost every working artist has explored the self-portrait. Being a part of a visually sophisticated culture, we make these portraits every day, especially with the use of smart phones. By increasing the distance between the camera and the figure, the image becomes less about the individual and more about the emotive qualities expressed through the interaction of the figure in the environment.
