Collaborative conservation in local landscapes
Collaborative conservation at the local level continues to struggle, but it holds more promise than other strategies in securing relevant social, economic and ecological benefits. To deliver on this promise, community-based conservation needs investment in local leadership and organizations, new relationships at the regional and national level, and policies that catalyze small-scale, decentralized action on a broad scale towards sustainability.
