My body of work focusses on creating visual relationships of shape and color. The interaction of shapes and the space around them is a primary focus of many of these works. This is to try to bring attention to the norm of a rectangular composition. The deeply etched lines and aggressive marks of the intaglio pieces embrace process and mark making that is unique to printmaking. The range of value and marks creates visual interest without depicting any particular image.
