dc.description.abstractZoning fields and crops is a pre-requisite for strengthening precision agriculture practices. Remotely sensed data collected by Landsat satellites can be used for monitoring crop growth and consistency within and between growing seasons. Information quarried from monitoring can be used to delineate management zones within a field. In this study Landsat images acquired in 2007 and 2009 were used to monitor wheat growth in several dryland fields in SE Wyoming. Results from this study reveal the patterns of wheat growth in these fields. This presentation will highlight the potential and limitations of Landsat data for monitoring wheat growth and developing management zones.
