    Abstract
Leach liquors produced from Utex ore by cold leaching, hot leaching and pugging proved amenable to the ion exchange process. Higher resin loadings were obtained from the cold leach liquors than from the hot leach and pug liquors. In general, the less vigorous leaching conditions produced liquors which gave the highest resin loadings. In addition, a resin-in-pulp system was operated using the lucite Winchester cells on Utex pulp produced by cold leaching. Satisfactory loadings were obtained.
