Examination of the Cedar Ridge mine Montrose County, Colorado
The Cedar Ridge Mine, owned by John C. Blake, and located in Silveys Pocket, Montrose County, Colorado, is being operated under lease at the present time. During the first two months of operation, January and February 1951, two miners produced 43.7 tons of ore assaying about 1.50% V2O5 and 0.30% U3O8, valued at $674.00. The vanadium-uranium mineralization is found in the Salt Wash member of the Morrison formation, associated with light colored sandstone and conglomerate.
