FIND A BETTER WAY: A STUDY OF PARENT TEST REFUSALS OF COLORADO K12 STATE ASSESSMENTS IN 2015 AND 2016 USING A FRAMEWORK BASED ON THE KANO MODEL
This dissertation applies a parallel convergent mixed-methods study of the historic parent test refusals (PTR) that occurred in Colorado in 2015 and 2016. The study analyzed the themes in responses to the Colorado Standards and Assessments Task Force statewide listening tour and survey in 2014. The study also analyzed the participation rates on the Colorado Kindergarten through twelfth (K12) grade State Assessment System (SAS) using multiple regression analysis as the primary research instrument.
