Wireless Approach for Determining Stress and Temperature in Lithium Batteries With SAW Sensors
A wireless approach for the purpose of stress and temperature measurement in Lithium Batteries has been proposed in this thesis using Surface Acoustic Wave Sensors. Initially, the charging and discharging behavior of the battery has been studied and its State of Charge versus Voltage characteristics are observed. The development of critical issues such as temperature and stress are addressed, and its various causes analyzed. The temperature increase in Lithium battery is measured using a Thermocouple.
