Moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) is important for the prevention of chronic illness throughout the lifespan. Nevertheless, only 27% of high school students in the United States (U.S.) engage in adequate daily MVPA. The purpose of this study was to test the theory of planned behavior (TPB) to predict MVPA in a predominantly Hispanic convenience sample of high school aged adolescents from a lower socioeconomic status community in northern New Mexico.
