"I got to know Rotarians through the Artists of America exhibition they sponsored in Denver. In 1986 a friend I call Mr. Rotary, Grant Wilkins, approached me about a project they were funding called Polio Plus. It was a grand plan to eradicate polio worldwide. To help them I created pieces to be awarded to contributors of varying increments, up to a six foot bronze for very large contributions and for Rotary headquarters in Evanston, IL.
