Letters, 1905, September through December
Charles F. Lummis wrote and received many letters in 1905 from the end of September through December. Anna K. Rogers of East Dedham wrote in confidence to Lummis in September concerning Mrs. Fannie K. Hamilton who is living with them. She indicated they "puzzled and distressed about her". Rogers mentioned Hamilton's sickness, Doctor's bills, expenses, debts, and that her "nervous system is severely taxed". Hamilton had expressed wanting to go to Goldfield, Nevada, to write for their newspaper. In October, Lummis wrote Rogers to ask for more information and to let her know he wrote Mrs. Hamilton ...
