Letters, 1905, January through the start of April
Charles F. Lummis wrote and received many letters in 1905 from January through the start of April. Louise Wakelee Elliot wrote in January from the Hotel Tavistock in Cleveland, Ohio. [Louise Wakelee Elliott was an actress who was part of the American Play Company by 1911 and performed on Broadway in Othello in 1914.] She learned from "Out West" that Lummis was in the East and had a son. In February, Lummis wrote to "Dear Little Louise" and mentioned that Turbese [his daughter Dorothea Turbese, 1892-1968] traveled with him; his tour in the East from Kansas City to Boston and back was a success ...
