Charles N. Shepardson oral history (tape 3 of 4)
James Hansen interviews Charles N. Shepardson in 1974 for Hansen's Democracy's College in the Centennial State: A History of Colorado State University (1977). Shepardson was a 1917 graduate of Colorado Agricultural College (now Colorado State University) and a noted leader in dairy husbandry and agricultural economics. He served on the Board of Governors for the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C., from 1955-1967. Shepardson recounts his childhood in Fort Collins, his time as a student at CAC, his teaching in the animal husbandry department in the early 1920s, and at Texas A&M beginning in 1928.
