Harold Glass: his experiences in World War II, as told in his own words
On August 18, 2009 Harold Glass sat down at his home in Fort Collins, CO and told of his experiences in World War II. Harold, born in Peckham, OK and raised in Newton, KS, served in the 629th Tank Destroyer Battalion of the U.S. Army. A driver with the HQ company that serviced other companies of the battalion, he was in the second wave that hit the beaches on D-Day. he then rode the front lines all the way up through France, Belgium, the Battle of the Bulge and into Germany to the wars end.
