Upper Arkansas Noxious Weed Inventory and Assessment
In 1999, the Upper Arkansas Weed Cooperative (UAWC) began using GPS to inventory 17 different noxious weeds in an 8 county area in southern Colorado. Over the next 3 years there were 3,311 weed infestations recorded along with information about the infestation size, the species type, the canopy the weeds were growing in, the site description and any management restrictions that were present.
