Western Dairy Council Records
Originally founded in 1935 as the Denver Dairy Council, Inc., the Western Dairy Council, a non-profit affiliate of the National Dairy Council, included members of the dairy industry in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana, and sought to promote the consumption of milk and milk products. In 2018, Western Dairy Council merged with Dairy MAX. The Western Dairyfarmers' Promotion Association, founded in 1944 as the American Dairy Association of Colorado, shared the same headquarters and board of directors with the Western Dairy Council, and provided education to dairy producers. The Western Dairy Council Records documents the related history of the two organizations. This digital collection, with materials dated 1935 to 1988, includes meeting minutes, correspondence, newsletters, and promotional materials generated by both organizations.
