William "Dwain" Miller: his experiences in the Korean War, as told in his own words
On April 3, 2012 William "Dwain" Miller sat down at his home in Ft. Collins, CO and told of his experiences in the Korean War. Dwain served as a medic with the 555th Field Artillery Battalion and then with the 2nd Rocket Field Artillery Battery. He was awarded the Silver Star and received the Purple Heart for his actions in combat. After his service, he returned to college and would eventually earn his PhD. He served as a park and recreation director for a number of years and then would go on to a long and successful career at Colorado State University. He also met and married his lovely wife ...
