Glen Norris : his experiences in World War II, as told in his own words
On October 16, 2008 Glen Norris sat down at his home in Greeley, CO and told of his experiences in World War II. Glen served in the Navy aboard the attack transport USS Lubbock. The Lubbock sailed throughout the Pacific. Most people only learn about history, Glen was right in the middle of it. He had a front row seat to the island invasions of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, anchored in Tokyo Bay across from the Missouri when the surrender was signed, visited the remains of Hiroshima and shook hands with Harry Truman.
