    Abstract
Undated reproduction of a February 1789 article in the Columbian Magazine. The article provides a discourse on the soul and state of mind as it relates to the human physical condition. Examples of the application of music and its impact are given. The author concludes, "I am of the opinion, that music ..... will be found, if not superior, at least equal to any article we know to be made use of in the Materia Medica.".
