Margery (Hainds) Beydler: her experiences in World War II, as told in her own words
On October 22, 2008 Margery (maiden name Hainds) Beydler sat down at her home in Greeley, CO and told of her experiences in World War II. Raised in Kansas, Margery enrolled in a nursing program in 1939. After the war broke out, she and a friend decided to enlist in the Navy Nurses Corps. After working in hospitals stateside, she volunteered for overseas duty. She shipped out and worked in field hospitals in the S. Pacific. After the war was over, she married her husband Jim, whom she had dated before the war and corresponded with throughout the war, raised a family and continued her career in nursing.
