Oliver "Lee" Bashor: his experiences in World War II, as told in his own words
On July 25, 2013 OIiver "Lee" Bashor sat down at his home in Loveland, CO and told of his experiences in World War II. Lee, born in Hygiene and raised in Loveland, CO, served in the Army Air Corps. He was a B-17 pilot for the 359th Bomb Squadron, 303th (sic) Bomber Group of the 8th Air Force. He would fly 22 combat missions and two non-combat missions. After the war, Lee got his degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He would go on to have a very interesting and successful career in the aerospace industry.
