Leonard Ault : his experiences in World War II, as told in his own words
On April 9, 2014 Leonard Ault sat down at this home in Ft. Collins and told of his experiences in World War II. Len, born in Lowell, IN and raised in Calumet City, IL, served with the 263rd Infantry Regiment of the 66th Infantry Division. He was involved in containing the pocket of Germans trapped in France until the war in Europe ended. He then was part of the occupation forces, serving in Germany, France and Austria. After the war he returned home to his wife Elizabeth. He would go on to have a long and successful career as an industrial engineer, primarily in the printing industry. Len and ...
