Abstract
This study focuses on job quality in Pueblo County’s hemp- and marijuana-related businesses. The study draws upon the work of job-quality researcher Arne Kalleberg to construct a thorough assessment of whether the legal cannabis industry is creating good jobs. The study, which is in the data collection phase, incorporates both economic and psychosocial indicators of job quality. The researchers discuss their job quality indicators, research strategies, and what they have learned about the industry. Presented at the 1st Institute of Cannabis Research Conference on "Cannabis Experts Take Center Stage: From the Margins to the Mainstream," that was held April 21-23, 2017, Pueblo, Colorado.
