Morris (Glenn) Collection
Glenn Morris was born in Simla, Colorado, and graduated in 1935 from Colorado State University. He won the decathlon gold medal at the 1936 Olympics held in Berlin, Germany, breaking his own world record. This digital collection consists of a volume, written in German, with descriptions and photographs of the 1936 Olympic games. Included in the volume is a list of medal winners and photographs of Glenn Morris, Jesse Owens, and Adolf Hitler. Images of a 1936 Olympic oak print and a gold medal with the inscription of “XI Olympiade Berlin 1936” are also featured here.
