Bashford, Lacey, artist2017-01-052017-01-052016http://hdl.handle.net/10217/178972Colorado State University Art and Art History Department capstone project.Capstone contains the artist's statement, a list of works, and images of works. The artist's statement: My work finds its roots in the expression of what has been, what is, and what will be. It resolves itself in an inspection of the human experience; past, present and future, and the effects that manifest through our collective consciousness. Landscape, geometric shape, architecture and nature are often used as catalysts in my work, and I find a great deal of expression in the natural design of the universe and cosmos. Often it is the process of making the art; the idea of breaking something down, putting a bit of you into it, and reconstructing it into some extension of yourself that I find the most intriguing and fascinating. Art is a release of our inner consciousness as we strive to connect and coexist as one greater whole on this pale blue planet.Student worksengCopyright and other restrictions may apply.
