Gallien, Kendall, artist2025-05-082025-05-082025https://hdl.handle.net/10217/240546Colorado State University Art and Art History Department capstone project.Capstone contains the artist's statement, a list of works, and images of works. The artist's statement: Through my artwork, I try to explore the use of different mediums to reflect on my own experiences and personal journey. As a child, I had a sense of flexibility and fragility, and this material allowed me to express these themes in a vulnerable and strong way. I like this material's vibrant colors and texture as it creates a sense of energy in my drawings. Through this combination of traditional and foam cord techniques, I hope to create pieces to help viewers reflect on their lives. My works reflect the experiences and struggles that I have experienced due to my stroke in the womb. These experiences have affected my creativity and outlook on life. Each piece I create represents my pain and struggles, and through the colors and forms that I use, I hope to bring hope and resilience to others. My art serves as an invitation to connect with others who have gone through similar experiences.born digitalStudent worksengCopyright and other restrictions may apply.
