Funding was provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 8 Wetland Program Development Grant, with matching funds from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Colorado College, The Nature Conservancy, Citizens for Huerfano County, San Isabel Land Protection Trust, and Colorado State University. The purpose of the project was to provide a scientific data resource for land managers, county planners, and the citizens of Huerfano County for conducting proactive landscape planning to preserve the natural biodiversity of the county's wetland and riparian areas. This document is a tool for managing lands that support rare, imperiled and/or sensitive wetland dependent plants, animals, and significant plant habitats. The goal of this project was to systematically identify the locations of wetland/riparian dependent rare and uncommon species and significant habitats.born digitalreportseng©2017 Colorado Natural Heritage Program.
