Wilson, Daniel, artist2016-08-252016-08-252016http://hdl.handle.net/10217/177008Colorado State University Art and Art History Department capstone project.Capstone contains the artist's statement, a list of works, and images of works. The artist's statement: I explore my art in the same manner I explore my daily life, with a healthy curiosity and as much of an open mind as I can muster. I love the endless variety of styles and media in art, and have been fortunate to pursue it through higher education. Studying Painting, Graphic Design, and Philosophy has taught me much, but nothing more certain than my love for creating art. The visual arts have provided me a language I feel I could speak more eloquently than I ever could manage in conversation. My focus in art is a simple one, to keep creating. I have pursued art my whole life, any way I could. I worked as a sculptor, mannequin maker, achieved diplomas in Painting and now Graphic Design and it is time for a new chapter. The people of this world make so many beautiful and strange things, I can think of few things more enticing than a chance to join in. All of these experiences helped me remain malleable to new methods and ideas so that whatever the next chapter is, I continue to grow with it.Student worksengCopyright and other restrictions may apply.
