Papke, Sarah, artist2016-03-172016-03-172015http://hdl.handle.net/10217/171329Colorado State University Art and Art History Department capstone project.Capstone contains the artist's statement, a list of works, and images of works. The artist's statement: The world of graphic design surrounds us in ways I never understood until I came to CSU. Successful design is not bright and shiny, nor is it plain and simple. Successful design is full of intention, creativity, ingenuity and care. Graphic design has allowed me to roam between my two loves: the arts and people. The space between business and customer, product and consumer, informer and receiver, can be made beautiful and practical through graphic design. At its core, the industry is visual communication and as a visual learner myself I have found that type of problem solving to be an absolute thrill. I am endlessly inspired by illustration and typography. I love Earl Grey tea and independent films. You can find me exploring in the Rocky Mountains, sipping beer at a local brewery or hiding away in creative spaces. Design is my life and I sure do love it.Student worksengCopyright and other restrictions may apply. User is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.
