Measurements were made of velocity, turbulence, drag, and gaseous plume behavior. Flow properties are compared with recent field measurements. Ground penetration in the initial fetch region results in strikingly different streamline motion as compared to wind motions within the equilibrium regions. Measured values of the vertical eddy diffusion coefficient are shown to predict plume behavior in the equilibrium region very well if a correction is included for the ratio Ky/Kz > 1.0.Ventilation of an elevated line source into the canopy region is compared with a simple one-dimensional model.technical reportsengCopyright and other restrictions may apply.
