Advances are limited due to a vast data gap regarding the fundamental gas phase chemistry and the resulting gas-surface interface interactions for potential catalysts, specifically zeolites. In addition to studying the material, gas phase emission and absorption spectroscopies examine the interactions between zeolites and plasmas, probing the effect of a substrate on plasma internal temperatures.
