Scavo, Kendall, artist2007-01-032007-01-032013http://hdl.handle.net/10217/88641Colorado State University Art Department capstone project.Capstone contains the artist's statement, a list of works, and images of works. The artist's statement: I've wanted to be an artist for as long as I can remember. Sure, as a kid I would change my mind frequently; but I always came back to artist. When I was a junior in high school, I discovered that I enjoyed the graphics side of things as well as the fine arts side. It was then that I decided to pursue graphic design. I love the ability of graphic design to reach an enormous amount of viewers. It is my belief that with the right, open-minded audience, design can truly change the world. As designers, we have the ability to communicate through visual aesthetics which allows us to reach a wider variety of people. I enjoy communicating through both visual representation and typographic representation. I love the aesthetic of a pen and ink illustration that is juxtaposed with typographic elements. My visual aesthetic has been successfully communicated through the pieces in my portfolio. As a college graduate, I look forward to becoming a part of the crazy world of graphic design.Student worksengCopyright and other restrictions may apply.
