The Sheridan Railroad Historic District extends to the north and east of the original commercial district of Sheridan, Wyoming, and comes within one block of the north end of the Main Street Historic District. The district encompasses residential, commercial, and industrial buildings that reflect the history of transportation in the City of Sheridan from 1892 to 1954. The district abuts the Burlington Northern Railroad and includes prominent buildings such as the Sheridan Inn, two historic depots, and railroad workers’ housing.
